Last Saturday we visited Groningen. Upon entering the center the bridges of the canal had just been closed for several ships passing by. I do so like these moments. The view of ships passing by is somewhat relaxing (as long as you’re not in a hurry of course 😉 )
When we were about to leave in the end of the afternoon we heard a band playing and decided to see what that was about. It turned out there was a canal-swimming race and the band was there to cheer the swimmers on. We stayed and watched the spectacle for a while.
