Groningen really changes into a nice wintery location come Christmas. There’s a big Christmas-like market with stands on the main square all of December with a big Ferris Wheel and lots of lights in the evening and close to December there’s a big market at the central haven: ‘Winterwelvaart’. A busy, crowded but very entertaining place to visit, with more stalls, delicious foods and a lot of art-galleries open in the evening to visit. It was a lot of fun!
